Fees
Clients who work the therapeutic process generally consider psychotherapy well worth the investment of time and money.
Individual therapy sessions usually start on time and are 45 to 50 minutes long. The out of pocket cost ranges from $0-$150 per session, depending on insurance coverage, income level, etc.
Fees are dictated by the agreement between the Center, consultant, and insurance company. For example, a typical insurance company agreement allows Apex to charge a $20 co-pay, and the insurance company pays the "negotiated provider fee," which is typically between $50-$90 per session. Although we do not offer garage sale rates where psychotherapy prices are negotiable, we are flexible with our fee structure. For example, one consultant may accept $60 per session for self-pay clients, while another charges full fee.

Insurance & Other Coverage
We participate with Medicaid, Medicare, and most major insurance programs. We are required by law to collect the Medicare deductible and co-pay for every session. If clients are unable to pay the deductible and co-pay due to financial difficulties, they can apply for Financial Hardship. If approved, this can allow the deductible to be waived. However, the co-pay is always due at the time of each visit.
If you are being discharged from a hospital or released from prison or jail, you may be eligible for "gray zone coverage," a Maryland state program that pays for psychological treatment if you meet certain criteria.
